As we all know in India different different religion people are living having their different God different culture. So, India accepts all the religion all the culture. And hence there was many festivals we are celebrating.

And as we all know the month of April is the new session of all the things. This month is very great and the starting of spring season. So there were many festivals in this month. And we’ve gonna talk about those festivals.

1. Mopin, Arunachal Pradesh
This is the beautiful festival celebrated by North East Indians. As we all know there were many beautiful and interesting festivals celebrated in North East India. But this festival celebrated in April is different from all.
This festival is celebrated on 5th April every year in Arunachal Pradesh. As I told you before that April is the month of spring. So in this month crops grows. To protect the harvest from evil spirits the local tribes women’s of Arunachal Pradesh celebrates this festival.
In this festival the people of Along-Basar-Bame specially the local tribes women’s performs a special type of dance which is called “popir dance“. In this day people make rice wine.
2. Mahavir Jayanti, Uttar Pradesh
Well, this is an another great festival celebrating on 6th April, every year. This festival is celebrated through out the India. But the most craze of this festival is in Uttar Pradesh. This festival is mostly celebrated by Jain peoples.
This day is celebrated because 6th April is the birth date of Mahavira. As, on this day people collects Chanda from people houses for the rally of Mahvir Jayanti. And on this day people do the Abhisheka of Mahavira statues.
3. Good Friday
This is the festival celebrated by whole India and or by whole world. The main cause of celebrating this day is to mark the suffering, passions and the death of the Lord Jesus. Mainly this day is celebrated by Christians.
This day is celebrated on 10th April, every year. On this day fast, prayer, meditate and repent is done by Christians.
4. Sankat Mochan Music Festival, Varanasi
As on 12th April the Sankat Mochan Music Festival held every year. As 12th April is the day of Hanuman Jayanti. So to celebrate hanuman jayanti the people of Varansi make this Sankaat Mochan Music Festival. As we all know Varnasi is an holy place here the city is toured by Ganga.
Varanasi is full of spiritual things. So there is no doubt that the Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated with full of energy and joy.
5. Baisakhi, Punjab
As like Mopin festival Baisakhi is also the festival of Harvest. This festival is celebrated on Punjab on 13th April, every year. As the Bhangra is in the culture of Punjab. In this day Punjab people do Bhangra and enjoys.
Basically Baisakhi is the beginning of the sikh religion. And not only in Punjab this day is celebrated through out the country. And in Golden Temple in Amritsar this day is celebrated with Bhangra and full of joy.
6. Bihu, Assam
As like Baisakhi Bihu is the beginning north eastern region of India. It is celebrated as the spring season started in April. It is celebrated fro 7 days in which bihu dance, folk music and many more cultural activities are performed It is celebrated every on 14-20th April
7. Ambedkar Jayanti
On 14th April every year the Ambedkar Jayanti is celebrated throughout the country. As on this day Dr.Bhim Rao Ambedkar was born. This day is celebrated throughout India because to aware and remeber the peoples of India that what was the contribution of him to our Democratic country.
On this day in India many political persons pays tribute to the statue of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar. He was one of the most powerful leader and his contribution was very huge among the people of India. So, that people will not forget him this festival is celebrated by Indian peoples every year.
8. Ramadan
This is an one month celebrating festival started from 23rd April to 23rd May every year. This is an fasting festival celebrated by Islam religion. Throughout the country this festival is celebrated by Islamic.
Many sweet dishes is made during this festival and at the last many delicious food are made and shared between peoples. Means on a final day a grand feast is done.
9. Pooram
This festival is celebrated in Kollam. But the date is not announced yet. Because it was celebrated every year on different different dates. So this festival is celebrated in Sri Krishnaswamy temple of Asramam Maidan. It is famous for its cultural programs like traditional music, elephant shows etc.
There were a specific route where the rally goes. And in that rally many dancers and traditional musicians take part. And as I told you there was many decorated elephants in the rally which makes this festival amazing.
10. Tulip Festival, Kashmir

Tulip Festival of Kashmir is held in Tulip Garden every year. As the spring season starts in the month of April. This festival is celebrated by Kashmir people’s. There is the beautiful nature and the beautiful scene of tulip garden as the garden is covered with the Tulip flowers.
You have to pay some little amount near about 30 rupees to enter in the Tulip Garden. So that you can enjoy their beauty.
