Long Travel days in the USA

Have you ever been on a road trip to or from the US?
If so, you know how long it can take, and how boring it can be. There’s just one problem – sitting in traffic or even on an available seat can leave you feeling uncomfortable. The seductive appeal of staying overnight has its drawbacks – higher costs and lack of comfort that is associated with it. And even though you’re at your destination, it’s still a long way to sleep when your blood sugar levels are already low and your legs are wobbly because of sitting down for many hours straight

Have breakfast, have lunch, and have dinner. Just because you’re on the road doesn’t mean your meals have to be unhealthy.

Drink coffee and tea

Traveling in the USA is great, but it can be exhausting, especially if you are traveling from one state to another state. Long hours of flying, sitting, and driving in a bus or car can make for a long day. Luckily there are ways to fight off the boredom, fatigue, and hunger of a long travel day.

Coffee and Tea are great ways to fight off the boredom and drowsiness that come with being on a long travel day. These drinks will keep you alert so you can enjoy your trip. Tone:  Friendly, not too detailed

Bring healthy foods

When traveling in the US, you may find yourself in a car, on a bus or train, or on a plane for long periods of time. You will want to bring food items with you to keep your energy up and your mind alert.

Bring Healthy Snack Foods:

It can be hard to find healthy snack foods abroad. When you are traveling, especially when it’s long-distance, you want to make sure that you are eating healthy and nutritious foods. Avoid processed foods with lots of sugar or salt and stick to fruits, veggies or nuts.

When the food cart comes around on your flight, don’t fill up on things like chips or cookies. Instead try to bring small snacks with you. I like to bring things like applesauce or yogurt tubes along with me on my trips just in case I get hungry during the trip.

Stay Hydrated:

Getting dehydrated while flying is very easy because of the low humidity that usually exists in an airplane cabin. You can avoid this by bringing a water bottle with you and using it frequently throughout your flight. It’s also good practice to drink lots of water before your flight so that your body is well hydrated when you get on the plane.

Bring entertainment. Whether its a book, games for the car, or some music, make sure you have something to keep yourself occupied. Pack an iPad or tablet and load it up with movies or your favorite music if you have time.

A great way to entertain yourself on a long travel day is by reading a novel. Not only is it educational, but it will help keep your mind off of the time and any stress that you may have with your boss or coworkers if you’re traveling for work.

If textbooks aren’t your thing, maybe magazines are more up your alley. There are plenty of magazines that can keep your attention for hours on end. Pick up a few before you leave home so that there isn’t any extra waiting time when you get to the airport or stop at a gas station to fill up on gas.

Music Player-

Another great way to pass the time is by listening to music while you drive or fly from place to place. Make sure that your music player has enough power left on its battery before you leave home so that it doesn’t die in the middle of your trip. If possible, also

Road Trip Tips

With the vastness of America’s landscapes, taking a road trip can be an invigorating and unforgettable experience. However, for some people, the thought of driving for hours on end can be stressful. If you are planning a road trip in the USA, there are many things you can do to make it easier and more enjoyable. Here are some helpful tips to make your upcoming road trips smoother:

Check the vehicle and prepare emergency kits before leaving. Make sure your car is in good condition and that you have all the necessary supplies before leaving on a road trip. This includes checking the gas tank, air pressure, oil level, and windshield fluid level. You should also bring along items like a flashlight, first aid kit and extra food and water. Pack blankets or pillows in case you get stuck overnight, as well as an extra cell phone charger or battery if possible.

Map out your travel plans

Whether you’re driving across the USA or taking a bus tour, you’ll want to plan your trip well. And with the help of a map, you can make sure you stay comfortable on your journey.

Trip Planning

Consider how far you’ll be driving and for how long, then check the map for a route that’s not only convenient but also has accommodations along the way. U.S. Route 66 is one of the most famous road trips in the United States, and it’s marked by roadside attractions and mom-and-pop motels as it meanders from Chicago to Los Angeles. Other famous routes include Route 1, which runs through Florida and up along the East Coast; Route 66, which begins in Chicago and follows the Mississippi River all the way down to New Orleans; and Interstate 90, which circles America east to west.

Some of these roads are still dotted with nostalgic diners and other classic Americana, while others have been overtaken by large chains like Motel 6. For a real sense of small-town America, look for local restaurants or diners that have been around for years — they will have better cuisine and friendlier service than national chains.

One of the most common sleeping arrangements for people on the go is to use an inflatable mattress. These mattresses can come with pillows and blankets built right into the bedding.
