Bora Bora was once a volcano and now has evolved as one of the most beautiful destinations. Covered with water, coral reefs, and sandy beaches you will get hypnotized by the extravagant charm. 

This island is located between Australia and South America. This island has its own culture and tradition. 

The best time to visit Bora Bora in November and April. As the weather during this period is pleasant and you won’t find much crowd because the peak season starts from May and ends by October. Although there is a complete calendar describing the pros and cons of every month. 


This is the peak season and undoubtedly, you will find a lot of crowds during this period. The prices of hotels and resorts increase and you need to do bookings in advance. Apart from this in August, you will find many European travelers over here. Heiva I Bora Bora and Tahiti Pearl Regatta are two of its most popular events in the month during the peak season. If you want to enjoy diving and Snorkelling this is the right season. If you want to enjoy outdoor activities to the fullest this is the best time as the weather is pleasant.  


In November, you won’t find many crowds but the weather is pleasant and if you are lucky enough, hotels and resorts will offer discounts as well. Although the rainy season has not started yet there is a probability of rainfall and humidity. 

If you want to experience the cultural life of French Polynesia then, don’t forget to enjoy Hawaiki Nui Va’a. This is the cultural festival celebrated every year in November.


Tourists generally avoid these months because of the rainy season and the weather is unpleasant due to humidity. In fact, sometimes flights are also canceled. You will find less crowd and prices drop instantly. In February, there is a probability that cyclones might hit. In March, rainfall starts dropping but the humidity makes it uncomfortable to travel.  

If we talk about events then, there are two events. One in December called the Bora Bora liquid festival and other in January known as Taurus Varuna. Both these festivals are to celebrate the spirit of French Polynesia. In fact, Taurus Varuna is the festival of religious events where you can enjoy locals’ songs and dance


The month of April is the best choice if you want to avoid the peak season. This is a really good time for activities like Diving and snorkeling. If you want to enjoy the local site scenes and explore every inch of Bora Bora then April is the best month because the peak season is yet to start. Although there is very little probability of rain carrying an umbrella for the safer side is advised. 


This is one of the most romantic destinations. So, if you are planning for a romantic trip or your honeymoon then, considering Bora Bora is always a good option. You will find more than 50 shades of blue over here and being here is a rare lifetime experience. 

You will find many exotic birds and marine life. To your surprise, more than 500 fish species reside over here. You will find offshore bungalows, resorts with a water overview that looks stunning.

The food here is cooked in traditional pit ovens with banana leaves around. You can enjoy delicious dishes like chicken, pork, sweet potato, fava (spinach), and breadfruit.
