1. Bordeaux

Walking across Bordeaux’s Pont de Pierre, the sun glinting off the waters of the Garonne, I have a sense that I’ve arrived in France’s most elegant city.

Bordeaux holiday destinations in France for families. Visiting Bordeaux is really amazing. Bordeaux is a city with a long and diverse history, which makes it perfect for exploring on foot. At its heart lies the Place de la Bourse with its beautiful fountain and pretty flower beds, which was built by the French architect Ange-Jacques Gabriel between 1729 and 1740.

The elegant Pont de Pierre crosses the river to the north of the city and connects the historic center, known as Le Triangle d’Or (the Golden Triangle), to the south bank where you’ll find all the main shops and restaurants, as well as some of Bordeaux’s more traditional neighborhoods, such as Chartrons, with its market and antique shops.

Today’s Bordeaux is an exciting city with great restaurants, art galleries, and museums, but also has plenty to keep children interested.

3. Nice

If you are planning a trip to France, Nice is one of the best holiday destinations in France. This city is mostly famous for its beautiful beaches, its culture, architecture and cuisine. Indeed, Nice has a lot more to offer than just swimming and sunbathing.

Nice is located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Alps which makes it a perfect destination for those who are looking for both beaches and mountains.

The beaches are quite crowded during summertime but if you want to avoid it, there are many other things to do in Nice. For example, visiting the Greek ruins or exploring the old town with its charming streets of Vieux Nice.

Castle Hill Park is located at the top of Colline du Chateau which offers one of the most beautiful views over Nice and its surroundings. The park is home to some exotic plants and tropical trees and therefore not only interesting for adults but also for children as well.

La Rochelle

La Rochelle holiday destinations in France for families. Visiting La Rochelle is really amazing. It’s a fantastic place to take your family for the holidays. There are many things to do and see in this amazing city, so you’ll want to make sure that you plan your trip well.

There are so many different things to do in La Rochelle that it would be impossible to list them all here. But I will mention a few of my favorite activities.

The first thing you should do when visiting La Rochelle is shopping. The area around the city is known for its great shopping, and there are plenty of stores for you to choose from. You can walk down the main street or explore the back streets and see what’s available. If you’re looking for a good bargain, try going during the weekdays when there are no sales going on. This way you’ll have more time to shop around and find the best deals!

One of my favorite things about La Rochelle is its beaches. There are several different types of beaches in the area, including La Palais de Bonifacio, which is also known as “The Caves” or “La Grande Plage”.

7. Strasbourg

Strasbourg is a city of stunning beauty, with medieval streets and canals in the Petite France area, the imposing Strasbourg Cathedral, and the European Parliament. It’s also a city that’s particularly friendly to families.

The centre of Strasbourg is very easy to walk around with kids, while bike rides along the canal are also popular. For another way to see Strasbourg why not take a boat or kayak trip? You’ll be able to see parts of the city that you wouldn’t otherwise get to see.

Strasbourg has some great parks and open spaces too, including the huge Parc de l’Orangerie which is a good place for picnics. There are plenty of playgrounds dotted around the city too, so it’s easy to find somewhere for your children to let off some steam.
